Because the work piece is supported by a sliding platform, there is no contact with the table to cause the work piece to catch or bind. A built-in miter gauge supports the work piece for straight or angled shaping. The large rear handle provides a stable and comfortable grip. Twelve mounting holes provide many options for positioning of the clamps to accommodate a variety of stock sizes.
